duckity has no advertising and no analytics, and you can play all of it without telling us anything. Most of what the games remember never leaves your device. Signing in is optional, and this page describes exactly what changes if you do — and everything else that leaves your browser either way.

What stays in your browser

Your display name, your theme choice, whether sound is muted, and your daily-puzzle streak are kept in your browser's local storage. They sit on your device, are readable only by this site, and are not sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them — including the streak, which, unless you sign in, exists nowhere else.

What reaches the server while you play

Multiplayer games need a server to keep both players in sync. While a match is running, it holds:

  • a temporary connection id, created when the page opens and discarded when you close it;
  • the display name you typed, which your opponent sees — if you leave it blank you appear as “anonymous”;
  • your moves: the letters you pick and the words you submit.

All of this is held in memory for the length of the match and is gone when the match ends or the server restarts. It is not written to a database and not used for anything other than running the game you are playing.

Album covers in the music games

more streams and album palette both show real album artwork, and the pictures are loaded straight from the music catalogue that hosts them rather than copied onto this site. Your browser therefore asks that service for each image, which — like any image on any website — tells it your IP address and the usual request details. Nothing about you, your name or how you are doing in the game is sent with it, and no cookie is involved.

Everything else about those games is collected by our server rather than by your browser: the play counts come from a public chart page, and the colours in album palette are worked out from the covers before the site is even built. Playing a round sends nothing to Spotify.

If you sign in with Google

Signing in is entirely optional and nothing on the site requires it. Its only purpose is to keep your daily streaks when you change browser or device, and to show you how a day's score compared with everyone else's.

If you do sign in, Google tells us three things about you — the account's id, its email address, and its name and picture — and we store those, along with one row per daily puzzle you finish: which game, which day, your score, and whether it kept your streak. That is the whole record. We never see your Google password, and we ask Google for nothing else: no contacts, no calendar, no access to anything in your account.

Those rows are what the comparison is built from. It is aggregate — a position among a count of players — and no other player is ever shown who you are or what you scored.

That database is hosted for us by Supabase, which stores it on our behalf and does not use it for anything of its own. Nothing is shared with anyone else.

Signing out leaves the record on the server and your streaks in this browser, where they already were. If you want the account and everything stored against it deleted, email crowngamingmanagement@gmail.com and we will remove it.

What we don't do

No analytics or tracking pixels. No advertising. No social widgets, and no third-party embeds other than the album artwork described above and, if you choose to use it, Google's sign-in button. Nothing is ever sold or shared. Fonts are served from this site rather than from a font provider.

Server logs

Like any website, requests reach a hosting provider that may record standard technical information such as IP address, time and browser type as part of normal operation and abuse prevention. We do not use those logs to build any profile of you.

Children

The games are suitable for all ages and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included. The games can all be played without signing in, and there is no profile to fill in if you do.

Changes

If what we store ever changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated.
